Setting Up Belkin Range Extender

Our world is full of wireless connection. These connection has made things much easier, but the problem usually occurs when we talk about the range of these connection.

The range of these wireless connection is generally not good, and if you want a high range wireless router, then you need to pay some heavy amount.

But you don’t need to worry because we have a solution for you and that solution is the Belkin Wi-Fi range extender or Belkin booster.

Belkin booster is a device that is used to increase the range of your wireless signals and that too at affordable rates.

For example, if the range of your standard wireless connection is up to 1000 sq. feet, then Belkin range extender will enhance it up to 5 thousand sq. feet so that the user can enjoy smooth connection through an extensive range.

Now the question arises how to setup Range Extender? Well, there are two different methods to use this device. Both the methods are explained below.

Ethernet Cable

Ethernet Cable is the simplest way to connect your device with the router with the help of a cable. But you can only connect one device with the router through one cable.

 In case you want to connect multiples devices, you need to have an extender. To setup through an Ethernet cable, you need to plug the cable into the repeater and the other end to the router.

Then you need to turn on your Computer, connect the device to the internet, and go to http://Belkin.range website. A get started option will appear at the site, click on it, and select your Wi-Fi connection.

After doing all the process, they will ask your username and password, enter all the required stuff and click on create an extended network option. Now your connection has been made.

Wireless Setup

Wireless Setup is another way to set up the Belkin Range Extender. There are two different methods through which you can setup the connection wirelessly.

The first way is by using a WPS push button. Most of the router supports WPS. A WPS button is present at the back of the router, press it on the router as well as the extender.

Now at the bottom of the router, you will see a WPS PIN, remember it and paste the PIN whenever it’s needed. Open http://Belkin.range on PC and choose the network settings.

You will see a box where an “Enter Client Device PIN” will be printed. Click on it and enter the PIN. Now your connection is made.

But In case the router doesn’t hold a WPS option then you don’t need to worry because there is another way to set up the connection wirelessly.

The second way is to connect to the network and go the Belkin page.  You will need to go through the same process as we did in a wired connection.

Choose the get stated option and click on the network and provide them with the required details and then choose to create an extended network.
